Nebio's 2012 Peridot/Black Cayman R sits quietly amongst the lesser sheet metal,
as the two of them ride the high-speed Lake Express Ferry between Muskegon and
Milwaukee while on the way home from the Porsche Parade in Traverse City.

Re: Picture of the Month #40

Great shot - the car is very nicely "framed".

The contrast of the peridot against white is always nice, IMO.

Re: Picture of the Month #40

I always thought that Peridot green metallic looks better in person than on any video or photo. THanks. Ed

Re: Picture of the Month #40

Ed,

I have found it to be a challenging color to capture. Extremely variable depending upon the angle of the sun, and any shade or clouds. The ferry picture was taken on a very cloudy morning so the color was muted. You can see the clouds on the rear hatch window. I was intrigued by the juxtaposition of the straight lines of the white framework and the curves of the car at an angle I had not previously viewed.

Here is one of the same car taken on a sunny near cloudless morning with some shade from a tree and the adjacent building. The color appears quite different. Even just tilting the monitor screen changes the appearance of the color.

Beautiful R. You are more brave than I to take it out on the ferry!

Re: Picture of the Month #40

Here is one from the last Cars n Coffee of the season this past Sunday.
The Dark Blue Metallic S next to me is an 07 new to the owner who most often brings his very nice 356 coupe. By contrast the Peridot glows in the bright sun.

I've taken the ferry before although not with a Porsche. It was choppy near the shore due to strong winds but it allowed me to skip the fun of running through Chicago midday. It also got me home by noon; lots of time to take care of yard work, etc and relax.
