Picture of the Month - A new feature...

Introducing the 'Picture of the Month' . . .

We decided it would be fun to showcase a different member's car each month, so we've decided to begin a new feature on the front (or home) page of the Cayman Register called "Picture of the Month".

The pictures naturally, should be of a Cayman or Cayman S, and can be a shot of your car in a natural setting, an urban setting, or on the track, something moody... whatever, it's your choice. If someone besides yourself shoots the picture, you must get their permission to submit the picture - we'll be on the honor system here for copyright - but there is no provision in our "budget" to pay anyone for the use of these, mostly because we really don't have a "budget." While the official title will be "Picture of the Month," if we get some nice ones, it might change more often - so a title like "Picture of Whenever We Feel Like Changing it," might be more appropriate, but doesn't have quite the same ring to it. But, we'll change the picture at least once a month.

To submit your picture(s) Please upload them to a public photo album here on the Cayman Register. Then, send a Private Message to beez, with a link to that picture asking for your picture to be considered. From these we'll choose each new one. Pictures used over time will be displayed in the "Pictures of the Month" picture album.

ITMerc- I usually do not like WBK on cars, but I sure like that one. I LOVE the front and like the sides. The rear bumper I am not so sure about, but that rear wing is a nice touch.

Here is a moody shot (in a lighted gas station on a dark night) taken on a late night along rural US 29 heading back to Northern Virginia. Taken with the crappy iPhone camera, so it has just that little bit of blur to create some intrigue.....

Once again, the cupboard is getting a little bare of candidates for the Pictures of the Month. Two left in the can, to be exact...

Who wants to see a picture of your very own Porsche Cayman or Cayman S on the front page of the Cayman Register for a month?

You do, of course.

But that can't happen unless you submit a picture... and I know there's a ton of wonderful pictures out there just waiting to make your car famous for approximately 30 days.

Well, it's been a while since I've had to ask, but it seems I'm out of Picture of the Month candidates....

I know they're out there.... you've all taken pictures of your Cayman, or other peoples' Caymans - in the last few months, why you don't want to share them with your fellow members is a mystery. Lot's of new members this last year... you want to share your car with us, right?

Make your car semi-famous for 30 days or so... otherwise, Varejao17's picture of his CR in the fog at Mid-Ohio, might stay forever.

As Click and Clack say: "Well, it's happened again..."

It seems I'm very nearly out of Picture of the Month candidates....

I know the Right Coast and Mid-west have been buried in snow and ice for a while now, but spring is nearly here, and I'm sure you have some pictures, right? A nice picture from inside your garage, or even one from last year, are totally acceptable. Push your car out onto that frozen lake or river, and make a picture of it. We've even been known to use pictures of Caymans being driven in SNOW! You Western members, let's see some pictures - it's been a splendid winter out here.

So, make your car semi-famous for 30 days or sometimes longer (sometimes, much longer)... otherwise, myevo8isfast's picture of his CS in front of a splendid southern Nevada sunset, might be on the home page of the site for all eternity... and, nobody (except myevo8isfast) wants that.
