Sometimes, it all just comes together. In this case, "it" was Bob Blackwell's Arctic Silver over
black '08 Cayman 2.7, and some amazing clouds this last February in Corrales, New Mexico.
The visual mix-master with the eye, was professional photographer, and Bob's friend, Dennis

Under the 2nd Street Bridge, also called the Clark Memorial Bridge, in downtown Loiusville, KY,
seemed like just the right spot for Flybot to get that perfect after dark picture of his brand new
2012 Cayman R. The picture was shot by his son Gabe, with a Canon 40D and a 10-20 lens.

The 981 Boxster is in New York City getting ready for it's North American debut at the New York International Auto Show. This is very exciting news for us Cayman fans, as the next generation Cayman will surely be built off of this platform.

Boxster Register Advocate Miles Beach, Boxster Register Administrator John Novotnak and I had an opportunity to get up close and personal with the new model last night at a private press event hosted by Porsche. We took some pictures to share with you... Here are some of the details that caught my eye....

The back gets some cool new lights, a new wing and the rear deck now displays the PORSCHE name

Though this is a base Cayman, the front brakes look pretty big. The rotors appear to be the same size or larger than my Cayman S rotors. The calipers look like a new design with monster pistons and big brake pads. On the down side, it looks like the open top caliper design is gone.

Cayman Invasion Recap . . .

Wow... What a weekend... We had some exceptional weather for our first annual Cayman Invasion at VIR. It was great to see so many of the regulars, and fun to welcome in some new faces too.

There were 39 Caymans in attendance this year, which was a real show of force to all attendees. The only model that outnumbered us were the GT-3s with 44 cars. This is pretty understandable considering that the GT-3s is the ideal track weapon. It seemed like everywhere you looked you'd see a GT-3 or Cayman. In fact, the Caymans and GT-3s combined represented 42% of all Porsches in attendance...!!! (20% Caymans, 22% GT-3s).

I personally had a really great time, and I'm sure a lot of others feel the same way. So let's use this thread to share our videos, pictures and posts following up the Cayman Invasion.

Warning: Unlike most of the Cayman Register, this thread is public. It will appear on our front page and will be visible to unregistered visitors. I just wanted you to know before you shared. If you'd like to share something for all to see, feel free to post it here. If you'd prefer to keep it between you and your fellow members, feel free to post here.

Cobalt Blue Cayman S up the hill towards the exit of Laguna Seca's turn 5 this last September 9.
As you can see, Greg's excellent driving (not to mention that new 3.8L race motor), was making
it a particularly daunting task for yours truly (chasing Greg in the black #0) to keep up.

Yes, it's the Fall leaf-peeping time of year again, so it's appropriate that Killer Croc's '06
black-on-black Cayman S is shown from a Fall-color drive with PCA's Bluegrass Region, held
this time last year. The region's drive that day took the 12 participants for over 300 miles of
great roads and beautiful leaves through the Red River Gorge area of eastern Kentucky.

It's time for Thanksgiving. Let's dissect that word; thanks -- giving. It seems the end of the year, the holidays, often become a blur. We don't always take the time to just give a simple thanks, so let's change that.
