Changing the transmission oil in a Cayman will keep its transmission shifting nicely and will prolong its life. Replacing the Cabin Air Filter (also referred to as the Pollen Filter) is possibly the easiest maintenance task to perform on a Cayman. I'll demonstrate this task on my 2007 Cayman S. This article and accompanying pictures describe the procedure for removing the 981 Cayman upper engine cover. Tools required are: Plastic trim removal pry tools-available at most auto parts stores for under $20.
